  1. They're not moving on from kawhi this is misleading to steer up false rumors.

  2. The Clippers are doing the right thing – it's very possible they come up empty handed in acquiring any All-Star free agent, even Nikola Vucevic. Their best recourse may be to just stick with the role player model, with Sixth Men in Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell, veterans in Patrick Beverley and Danilo Gallinari, and youth in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Landry Shamet and Jerome Robinson. The superstar experiment with Lob City was a disaster, given the 3-1 collapse, Doc Rivers as coach/GM/father, and the Donald Sterling issues. The punishment for their playoff woes was their superstars taken away from them. Steve Ballmer buying the team from Sterling was a good start, but it was Jerry West who realized the Clippers work much better as a working class underdog team, a hybrid of the blue collar Grit N Grind Grizzlies and the Good Samaritanship of the Spurs. Doc Rivers rediscovered himself as a coach who can turn a ragtag of nobodies into some team. And you thought only Gregg Popovich was the only one…

This Clippers team made the playoffs without a single All-Star on the roster, only the fourth team to do so. Theoretically, they could become the first team in NBA history to win a championship without a single All-Star on the roster. Whoever wins league MVP or Finals MVP on the Clippers automatically becomes a superstar – you don't need to be selected an All-Star to become an All-Star. Gilgeous is the closest one, but the multitude of existing All-Stars might make it tough for him or any Clipper to get into the game, so they're gonna have to earn their accolades through a winning record and defeating a team in the playoffs.

My question to you: if the Clippers were stuck with just role players for the foreseeable future (read: no All-Star appearances), which ones do you think they could go after? 2019 draft players okay for this question.
